Phil Neville will speak to the FA to improve organisation and preparation for the England Women after defeat on Wednesday.

The England 'Lionnesses' lost their final game of the SheBelieves tournament to the USA on Wednesday evening, but their tournament performance until that point was promising, with a victory against France and a draw with Germany.

In fact, the three teams that they faced over the course of the SheBelieves Cup 2018, are their biggest competitors in women's football.

Speaking to 'SkySports', Neville particularly noted the difficulties in travelling and training for the team: "We need to give ourselves the best opportunity to do well, [yet] we were made to travel through three or four different cities just to get here and I had one training session with the team before the first game, after a nine-hour flight.''

The stark contrast between the support for women's and men's national football teams was highlighted by the fact that the 'Lionnesses' had to travel in economy class, whilst Gareth Southgate's team would've been offered business or first class.

Neville made it clear that the comfort of the plane is not at the top of his priority list, but that is it important to consider all the factors that go into shaping a winning side. ''I quite enjoyed the flight over here, I had nine hours with the team and it was great bonding. It's not my top priority [flying business class]. You always want better, but that's not No 1 on my list."

The issues were not only limited to financial support, but logistical planning which could have avoided a Chelsea clash against Manchester City on the day the team convened together, which would've prevented five players withdrawing from the SheBelieves tournament.

Although, having been newly appointed, Neville is showing a great deal of support for his team: "I've got to fight on behalf of my players to make sure they get the best."
