Manuel Neuer went in hard against Bayern Munich for sacking goalkeeper coachToni Tapalovic. "I felt like they were tearing out my heart, I had never experienced that before", the goalkeeper said, who found himself answering to Administration Advisor liver Kahn this Saturday.

Bayern Munich sacked Toni Tapalovic, a decision which did not leave Manuel Neuer very happy. The goalkeeper was very critical of the goalkeeping coach's departure, which has quickly got a response from Oliver Kahn.

The Bavarian club's current President of the Advisory Committee does not think he was right with what he said: "What Manuel says in certain parts of these two interviews with regards to Tapalovic's departure doesn't reflect him as a captain nor Bayern's values".

"What's more, what he said doesn't come at a good time, because we're right before very important games. He is personally affected, he needs to understand to a certain point. We were aware of it when we explained that this decision was the best for our team", Kahn explained.

The ex-Bayern keeper wanted to give a chapter of his career as an example: "I had a similar situation in 2004. Our goalkeeping coach, Sepp Maier, felt mistreated by the German Federation, and they split us up. I had worked with Sepp for years and we had a friendly and trusting relationship. At the time, I was also disappointed with the Federation".

"But the common goals were ahead of me. They were more important for me than my personal feelings. And that's why I decided at the time not to speak up publicly. Manuel did the opposite. We're going to talk about it and be very clear with him", he ended.
