Goals from Reiss Nelson and substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured that Arsenal ended their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Lazio in Stockholm on Saturday.

Nelson opened the scoring in the first half after being the quickest to react when Alex Iwobi's low drive crashed back into play off the post, but things could have been very different had Felipe Caicedo not spurned a great chance on the half-volley.

Aubameyang, who has been on fire in pre-season, then made sure of the win in the second half after coming off the bench, crisply finding the bottom with the help of a slight deflection after being teed up by fellow frontman Alexandre Lacazette.

There were a host of new faces in the Arsenal side as Stephan Lichtsteiner and Lucas Torreira made their first appearances for the club since making their moves from Juventus and Sampdoria respectively.

Fellow new boy Bernd Leno was handed the gloves despite Petr Cech's impressive performance in the penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in midweek.

Arsenal get their Premier League campaign underway next weekend as they face reinging champions Manchester City.
