Navas' impressive reactions kept the scores level
Saturday's Champions League final got off to a rapid start, with Real Madrid having Keylor Navas to thank tor maintaining parity in Kiev.
The 'Reds' were the better side early on, looking dangerous every time they entered the Real Madrid half.
Halfway through the opening 45 and perhaps surprisingly given the amound of attacking talent on the field, it was young defender Trent Alexander-Arnold who went close to opening the scoring.
Roberto Firmino's effort was deflected into the path of the youngster, who proceeded to fire a powerful low drive through a crowd of bodies and towards the bottom corner.
It was a good strike from the 18-year-old, but despite Navas not seeing it until late, the Costa Rican got a big hand down to keep the effort out and maintain parity.
