Bayern Munich manager Julian Naglesmann said that Gavi got the Golden Boy award because he plays for Barcelona. He claimed that Jamal Musiala and Jude Bellingham were better than the Spaniard.

Less than a week before playing Barcelona in the Camp Nou in matchday four of the Champions League group stages, Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann made things heated.

The match is yet to be played, but the mind games have started in the German manager's interview, who sent a strong message about one of the Barca players.

This Friday, Gavi won the Golden Boy, another award that he got the same week he as the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d'Or ceremony, and the Andalucian player is fast becoming a legend in Barcelona.

"For me, both Jamal (Musiala) and Jude (Bellingham) had a better season than Gavi, who did as well it must be said", the Munich manager said in the press conference before the Hoffenheim game.

"He's a really interesting player, last year he played 34 games at a very big club. Obviously, that was one of the reasons why he won", the boss said, who made it clear that him winning the award was because he plays for Barcelona.

"In my opinion, both are a bit better than Gavi. But he is also a stand-out player. I don't want to have more problems with Barcelona, he is a great player and I'm also happy for him", he concluded.
