Mourinho's criticism of his players after the game against Brighton leaves a large section of the squad open. The coach wants a purge of the team and has asked for almost €350million for summer signings.

According to the 'Daily Mail', Mourinho is thinking of a complete restructure at Manchester United and up to nine players could leave Old Trafford in the summer transfers.

The list of those tipped to be leaving United include three defenders, five midfielders and one striker. Mourinho has criticised a large number of players recently and has only spoken out in support of Matic and McTominay.

In defence, it is expected that Daley Blind will make his departure. The Dutchman has not had many opportunities to play, especially in recent months due to injury, and has missed several games.

Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw are also not likely to remain at Old Trafford. Shaw has been criticised by Mourinho many times since his arrival at United and his exit from the club seems highly likely. Mourinho wants Tottenham's Danny Rose to replace Shaw.

In the centre, Juan Mata has overshadowed by the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and could leave. It is also assumed that Marouane Fellaini will leave, while Michael Carrick has already announced his retirement at the end of the season.

Ander Herrera has remained in the team but the arrival of Matic heaped more pressure on him. It is also worth noting that Pogba and Mourinho are at war and Raiola is looking at all options for Pogba should the situation worsen.

Up front, the only forward likely to part ways with United is Anthony Martial, although Ibrahimovic has not been available for a while, with reports emerging that the Swede is not injured but in fact being frozen out by the United coach.

The current favourite to join as a midfielder is Fred, from Shaktar Donetsk, who is having an excellent season and has attracted the attention of the big clubs.

The 'Daily Mail' alleges that, in the last few days, Mourinho has met with Ed Woodward, executive vice-president of the club and the 'boss' regarding new signings.

And although the coach said a few days ago that the 'Red Devils' would not sign any more forwards after the arrival of Alexis Sánchez, Real Madrid's Gareth Bale could be set for a move back to the UK.
