Reports in Spain claim that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will make yet another move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale, if the La Liga champions seal a deal for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.

Spanish publication 'Marca' claims that the Portuguese is hoping to use Mbappe's move to convince Bale that his future lies in Manchester.

Mourinho has openly admitted that he is hoping to add a winger to his squad this summer, with Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic said to be his first choice target. However, with Inter boss Luciano Spalletti reluctant to let the Croat leave, United may be forced to look elsewhere and is hopeful that he could convince the Welshman to join his cause.

Bale's departure would free up funds for Real to use to pay the world-record fee that Mbappe is expected to fetch. However, Real Madrid are not a club that needs to sell to buy and Mourinho himself admitted recently that Bale was not a realistic target.

There is thought that the situation has changed following Real's pursuit of Monaco's teen sensation but at this moment in time a move for Bale remains very unlikely.

It is understood that Real boss Zinedine Zidane is excited to see the level of performance that the player can reach during an extended spell in the side, having seen his time in the Spanish capital largely disrupted by injuries.
