The Qatari police had to intervene on a group of Morocco fans after trouble was started in the grounds of the Education Stadium. What is more, several fans from the African side barged into the stadium.

Spain go head to head with Morocco in their World Cup last-16 tie. These national sides have only ever played three times before. Two of them were won by 'La Roja' and one was a draw.

However, moments before the match, an unpleasant story broke out from the grounds of the stadium. According to Rafeal Escrig, it was already the 11th minute of the game and a lot of fans with tickets still had not been able to get into the stadium due to a group of Morocco fans trying to barge their way in.

"We managed to get in, but they stopped us at the door for around 20 minutes. A lot of Morocco fans forcing their way in, others with fake tickets... fighting, pushing, shouting... something similar happened in the game against Canada apparently", Adri Contreras posted on Twitter.

What is more, another group of fans of the African side had to be stopped by the Qatari police, after being involved in a lot of trouble before the match.
