After a tight 90 minutes of football at Cornella, Espanyol and Real Madrid headed into injuty time with the visitors pushing for a late winner. However, it was the hosts that sent the stadium into delirium with a goal in the 92nd minute.
A goal that will go down in history for Espanyol. After 22 attempts since 2007, Gerard Moreno's late strike gave them a victory against Real Madrid for the first time.
Sergio Garcia got down the right and picked out Moreno in acres of space 15 yards out. The striker hit it beautifully first time, with the ball bouncing off the floor and flying past Navas.
