'Movistar's cameras spotted the Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, on the field of play at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the first half, after the VAR had disallowed Luuk de Jong's goal against Real Madrid. Monchi had to calm Lopetegui and the players down.

Luuk de Jong thought he had put Sevilla ahead at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the goal was taken away after a VAR review.

Gudelj was deemed to have fouled Militao from the corner, a decision which upset Sevilla as they felt the goal should have stood.

Sevilla were so angry that even Monchi himself, the Sevilla sporting director, had to go down onto the pitch at the end of the first half as cameras showed.

The images show Monchi in the technical area making gestures to Julen Lopetegui, presumably about the goal. The ex-RM coach was clearly upset in response.

Therefore, the sporting director had to go down pitchside and tell his players to go to the dressing room to prevent things getting out of hand.
