Monaco announce Cesc Fabregas' departure

Cesc Fabregas has put an end to his time at Monaco, the club he has been at since January 2019. The 35 year-old Spanish midfielder, who used to play for clubs such as Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea, leaves the team from the Principality after his contract expires.

Cesc Fabregas has put an end to his Monaco career. The 35 yea-rold Spanish midfielder says goodbye to the club after three and a half seasons. 

Last term, Fabregas played just 116 minutes across five matches. In addition, he played 42 minutes in a game for the B team. 

It was in January 2019 when the former Arsenal and Barcelona player put an end to his time at Chelsea to begin a new adventure in French football under Monaco. 

"The midfielder with more than 830 career appearances, leaves the club from the Principality three and a half seasons after his arrival," Monaco said on their official Twitter account.
