According to 'Sport', Luka Modric wants to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season when his current contract expires after 12 seasons playing at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Luka Modric was expected to leave Real Madrid last campaign but ended up renewing for one more season. As a result, his current contract will expire in June 2024.

The 38-year-old is not playing a prominent role this term as his performances are not as good as in previous seasons, which is normal considering his age.

For this reason, he can no longer perform at the high level demanded by the Spanish giants and is likely to look for a new destination in the summer transfer window.

According to Spanish outlet 'Sport', Modric could end his twelve-year career at Madrid to join a club in the Saudi league. For Saudi clubs, age and performance is not the most important factor for a player.

The Saudis are looking for world-class players to make their football league more known worldwide and believe the Croatian midfielder would be a great addition to their league.
