Modric revealed that he grew up supporting the 'Rossoneri'. DUGOUT

Following his move to AC Milan, Luka Modric revealed in an interview that he grew up supporting the 'Rossoneri', inspired by his idol and fellow Croatian, Zvonimir Boban, who played for the club.

Luka Modric was officially announced as a new signing for AC Milan last week, after the midfielder put pen to paper on a contract until 2026 with the Italian club.

The former Real Madrid player gave an interview to the club's official media in which he gave his first words as a 'Rossoneri', in which he explained why he decided to join the Italian club after leaving the “Merengues” and his passion for the San Siro outfit since he was a child.

"When I grew up, I used to watch the Italian league a lot, and Milan was my favourite team. At the time, in Croatia, we followed Milan a lot, because it was one of the most popular clubs in the world. There was Zvonimir Boban too, who was my idol," he said. Take a look at the rest of his words.
