Argentina's Leo Messi will miss Wednesday's match against Angers, where Paris Saint-Germain could mathematically be Ligue 1 champions, after suffering an inflammation in his left Achilles tendon.
"Leo Messi is still being treated for an inflammation of the left Achilles tendon. A new examination will be carried out in 48 hours," reads the medical statement released by PSG.
The Argentine international, who is in his first season at PSG, played all the match against Marseille last Sunday, where his team won 2-1.
PSG are 15 points ahead of Marseille with six games to go, so Messi's side would need to do better against Angers than Marseille against Nantes to win the league title.
