During Barcelona's Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid, Lionel Messi lost his temper after defender Sergio Ramos wound him up by not giving the ball back
Barcelona were defeated 5-1 over two legs by Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup but Lionel Messi's misery was compouded by the antics of Sergio Ramos.
Midway through the second half as Madrid were cruising to victory, Ramos, who is no stranger to winding up Barca players, had the opportunity to hand the ball back to Messi and extended his arm out, as if he was about to give the Argentine forward the ball, before chucking it away as Messi tried to grab it.
With a look pure resentment on his face, Messi stared back at Ramos before launching the Spanish phrase 'La concha de tu madre' in the Spaniard's direction.
In English, this translates into the obscene phrase: 'Your mother's v****a'.
This incident simply made matters worse on a sorry night for Ernesto Valverde's men who were beaten comfortably with goals from Marco Asensio and Karem Benzema.
