Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi has publicly apologised for travelling without permission to Saudi Arabia. Despite his apology, his coach has ruled him out of the squad for the game against Troyes in Ligue 1.
Lionel Messi has not been called up for the Ligue 1 match against Troyes despite publicly apologising for travelling to Saudi Arabia without Paris Saint-Germain's permission.
The French side announced on Saturday the squad list for Sunday's game and Cristophe Galtier has called up several academy players. They have given no explanation for Messi's absence from the list.
"I've been informed by the club about the decision to suspend Leo Messi at the beginning of the week. I've decided not to comment about that [story]," Galtier told reporters.
