A great star shines in the most complicated territories and Messi knows that. The community of Madrid is the region in which Leo Messi has scored the most away goals in his career.

The 'Flea', who will visit Leganés on Wednesday, will be satisfied with another record - he has scored more goals (34) in Madrid than in any other autonomous community across Spain.

Up to now, Leo has these 34 goals thanks to, for the main part, the 11 that he has scored in the Santiago Bernabéu, hostile territory for him and his team. In games against the 'Rojiblancos' (at the Vicente Calderón and the Wanda) he has bagged eight goals, the same number as he has scored against Rayo Vallecano. Getafe have conceded five Messi goals, and Leganés, two.

And, interestingly, Madrid is not the autonomous community in which the most of Messi's rivals reside, as it Andalusia he has faced a higher number of teams - Recreativo, Sevilla, Betis, Málaga, Cordoba, Granada and Almería, hitting the target 31 times.

Messi has also been prolific in the autonomous communities of Valencia (23), País Vasco (16) and Galicia (12).
