A controversial penalty from Kurzawa on Frenkie de Jong was made the most of by Leo Messi to put Barcelona ahead just before the half-hour mark. Identical to the one he scored into Keylor Navas against Real Madrid in the 2017-18 season.

Barcelona went in front against PSG just before the half-hour mark. A clip from Kurzawa on Frenkie De Jong's ankle, while the two were running for the ball, saw Barca awarded a penalty which Messi converted.

PSG complained a lot about the foul. However, Kurzawa was seen to touch De Jong's ankle with his knee in the replay.

Leo Messi quickly went to get the ball. The Argentine, Barca's big star, hit the penalty into the top left corner of Keylor Navas, who couldn't do anything about it.

The Argentine repeated the penalty he hit into the Costa Rican at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the 2017-18 season when Barca beat Real Madrid 3-0.
