"Messi is the greatest ever, better than Maradona"
The charismatic Antonio Cassano was interviewed by some children for Italian 'Canale 5', and he made it very clear who he thinks is the best player in the world: Lionel Messi.
After leaving Hellas Verona during last summer's transfer window, Cassano made it clear that he still wants to be involved in football and he gave an interview looking over his illustrious career.
The interview was conducted by children but they didn't hesitate to ask the former Real Madrid man questions about current football events. The first question was about Messi and Cassano gave his opinion.
"I have a great love for Messi. He is the greatest ever, better than Maradona," he said.
The 35-year-old also made it clear that his playing career is not quite over yet: "I haven't hung up my boots, I want to play for a team that makes me happy."
Finally, Cassano explained why he never played for Italian giants Juventus: "I rejected three offers from them because it's a team I don't like," he concluded.
