PSG lift Leo Messi's ban. The French side coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that the Argentinian will be available for the match against Ajaccio.
Argentina's Lionel Messi will return to the starting line-up for Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday after returning to training on Monday, just days after being suspended by the club following an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia, coach Christophe Galtier announced on Friday.
"I spoke to Leo about his return to the squad and I found him calm, very motivated to play, very determined to win a French championship. I saw him very involved and he will be in the starting line-up," said Galtier at the press conference ahead of the match against Ajaccio.
As in past appearances, the coach declined to comment on Messi's suspension from employment and pay, which was unofficially lifted after he posted a video apology six days after it was imposed.
Following the video, Messi trained on Monday and, according to Galtier, was welcomed "with joy" and worked "throughout the week with a lot of desire and determination" and "eager to play with the team".
