Messi fired Barca into the lead
In the crunch clash at the top of La Liga, Lionel Messi gave Barcelona the lead over Atletico Madrid with a fine free kick to beat Jan Oblak.
The goal came after Messi was brought down 25 yards from goal by Thomas Partey.
The Argentine dusted himself off to take the free kick himself. Messi curled the effort over the wall and into the top right hand corner of the goal.
If Atletico win then the gap at the top of La Liga would be only two points, but Messi seems to have dented their hopes early in the game. It was his 600th career goal.
