The Argentine ace continues to break down barriers not just in Spain but in the rest of Europe. Having scored 354 La Liga goals, Leo Messi is very close to becoming the all-time record goalscorer in domestic competitions.

Considered by many the best player to grace the game, Leo Messi is about to surpass a major milestone in his career. He will do so sooner rather than later if he continues the great form displayed at the start of the season.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored 354 goals in the Spanish top flight and in the coming weeks he intends to become the top goalscorer in the history of the great leagues.

Messi is currently third on the list of all-time top European goalscorers. He sits three goals behind legendary striker Jimmy Greaves, who banged in the goals for Chelsea, AC Milan, Tottenham and West Ham.

Once he surpasses the former England international, Messi will target his final victim: Bayern Munich's Gerd Muller. To equal 'Der Bomber', the Barcelona star will need to score 11 goals, after the German striker retired with 365 goals under his belt.

Although we do not know the exact date, it is only a matter of time before we witness another historical moment in the magical career of Lionel Messi.
