Messi celebrated 768th game with two goals
In his 768th Barcelona appearance, Lionel Messi scored the sixth goal for his team and his second of the game against Real Sociedad. Jordi Alba got the assist.
Barcelona did not take their foot off the gas in any moment against Real Sociedad at the Aneota. Barca beat Sociedad 1-6 and the last goal was scored by Messi.
After Dembele had scored Barca's fifth and Barrenetxea had pulled one back for Sociedad, Leo Messi got the sixth for Barca and his second of the match after an assist from Jordi Alba. Alba played a one-two with Riqui Puig and he then put it on a plate for Messi.
These two goals for Messi came in his 768th appearance for Barca. That means he has now gone past Xavi Hernandez.
The Argentine got his second brace in a row after scoring twice against Huesca last Monday on matchday 27 in La Liga.
