Messi abstains from Ligue 1 celebrations

Paris Saint-Germain's official social media published a video showing the squad's celebrations after winning the Ligue 1 title. Lionel Messi chose to not participate in the party with his teammates, choosing to watch from a distance.

Paris Saint-Germain drew against Strasbourg and were crowned champions of France with a game to spare. The Parisian side got their 11th league title after what has been an up-and-down season.

Lionel Messi, on 59 minutes and after being assisted by Kylian Mbappe, got on the scoresheet. helping Galtier's side lift the trophy. However, it was not all a happy ending for the Argentine.

With rumours over his future more present than ever, the Argentina captain did not appear very excited when his PSG teammates were celebrating the side's win in the dressing room. A video from PSG showed that he sat in his space and didn't celebrate with the others.

According to what you can see in the video, Messi did not participate in the celebrations, while others were dancing with joy with alcoholic drinks. The ex-Barcelona man chose to change and observe what was going on from a distance.

We still don't know what's going to happen with the number 30's future. At the moment, everything is hinting at him not renewing at PSG and him changing club for next season.

With speculations to one side though, it was Messi's 43rd career title, meaning he has won the most trophies of any other footballer.
