Memphis Depay made his Barcelona debut in the final minutes of the first half against Girona. The former Lyon player wore the number 9 shirt.
After being presented as a new Barcelona player, the match against Girona was a key one for Memphis Depay as he wanted to make his Barca debut as soon as possible.
There was lots of hype ahead of Saturday's friendly, but Ronald Koeman decided not to start the former Lyon footballer.
The coach was thinking of bringing him on in the second half, but circumstances meant the attacker made his eagerly awaited debut before the end of the first half.
Rey Manaj's injury meant Koeman brought Memphis on in the 43rd minute. The Dutch intenational wore the number 9 shirt which belongs to Braithwaite, but he is on holiday.
Before half-time, in the two attacks the footballer got the ball in, he showed his quality and spark in two moves down the right flank which so nearly ended in goals.
