Real Madrid are continuing to hope to make progress with Man Utd on the possible departure of Casemiro. Nevertheless, Madrid are aware that more formal talks will begin in the coming days.
According to 'Relevo', Madrid met with the 30 year-old defensive midfielder. The team from the capital have given the Brazilian footballer the right to choose his future freely. However, the condition is that he will not leave for less than 80 million euros. In addition, the same media outlet points out that the Real Madrid pivot would rather move to England than stay in the Spanish capital.
At Old Trafford they are willing to offer 60 million for Casemiro, but in Chamartin, they are asking for 20 more. The agreement could be reached for around 70 million. In addition, the Red Devils are proposing a five year contract for the midfielder and a salary which would practically double what he gets at Real Madrid.
According to 'Marca', United's strategy is for the footballer to force his departure and for Madrid to help the player move without demanding such a high transfer fee.
The Brazilian midfielder's priority is that if his sale is completed, he wants to leave Real Madrid in a good way.
