Despite the fact Barcelona are still hoping Adama Traore returns to the club, Barca club sources say it is impossible. That is what 'Mundo Deportivo' says. The newspaper have ruled out the chance of the Spanish international moving back to the Camp Nou.

There was talk of Liverpool and Real Madrid signing him, but the team who were linked with Adama Traore most were Barcelona, his former club.

The Spanish international's return to the Camp Nou occupied the front pages of all the sports media outlets after 'Goal' said that the Wolves player had declined the offer to extend his contract at the Premier League club.

That was when Barca showed the most interest in the 24 year-old right winger to get more protagonism that what he has been having at Wolves.

But it looks like it will not be happening. 'Mundo Deportivo' reports that Barca sources say that Adama's return to Barca is not viable.

Apparently, Barca think it's impossible to get the former Middlesbrough man back for financial reasons. Adama's contract with Wolves ends in 2023.

After coming through the Barca academy and making his first team debut, the highly valued striker went to England which is where he is today. He was at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough and has now been at Wolves since 2018-19. So far this season, he has started four times in nine matches and he has still not been able to find the back of the net.
