There was panic in Paris after Kylian Mbappe had to go off injured following a terrible challenge by Perrin. In the second half, the Frenchman reappeared from the tunnel with the help of two crutches. It does not look good just a couple of weeks before the Champions League.
PSG were crowned champions of the French Cup after beating Saint Etienne, but the match was overshadowed by Kylian Mbappe's bad injury. The striker had to go off after a terrible challenge in the first half.
Perrin went down low and Mbappe's ankle got trapped between the opponent's legs. The St Etienne was initially shown a yellow, but then given a red card after a VAR review. Mbappe had to leave the pitch injured.
The Frenchman reemerged during the second half on crutches and he even watched the last few minutes from the tunnel area. He then joined the team in their post match celebrations.
Seeing Mbappe on crutches and with his ankle heavily strapped is worrying news for PSG fans. PSG have Lyon next Friday in the French League Cup final and then the Champions League after that.
The Parisians face Atalanta on 12th August and the main concern will be whether Mbappe will be back for those matches.
