Red Bull Bragantino announced through its official channels an agreement with Palmeiras for the signing of Matheus Fernandes on loan until the end of December this year. In this way, the youngster finds a new destination after spending last season on loan at Athletico Paranaense. Little by little, he is establishing himself in his country's football.

Matheus Fernandes already knows his destination for this season. Palmeiras decided to loan him to RB Bragantino in an agreement that has already been made official by both parties. The former Barcelona player, who did not enjoy any prominence in Barcelona, takes another step forward in his fight to make a name for himself in his country's football.

Last season, with Athletico Paranaense, he made 27 appearances, 15 of them as a starter. Those were his best participation figures since he shone as a 20-year-old at Botafogo. Now, at 24, he is a more experienced player, so he has to try to establish himself in a team, as his future prospects will gradually decrease as the seasons go by, and he has to make the most of them.

"Matheus Fernandes is another player joining Red Bull Bragantino for the 2023 season. The midfielder signed on loan at 'Massa Bruta' until December this year - welcome to 'Bragança Paulista'!" read the statement his new club posted on their social media to welcome him. He also attached a picture of him celebrating with the club's jersey.

Guaranteed another season in the Brazilian league, Matheus Fernandes is set to become an expert in this championship. His objective will be to continue to earn a starting place, which he will fight for later this year.
