According to Anthony Martial's cousin, the French international will stay at Old Trafford this summer.

Martial, who came on as a substitute and scored during United's Premier League opener against West Ham on Sunday, looks set to stay with the Red Devils.

The Frenchman's cousin wrote on Twitter, 'For Manchester United, Anthony's departure is not a possibility, even on loan. They rely on him'.

The 21-year-old arrived at United in 2015 and has scored 16 goals in 57 appearances. Jose Mourinho is hoping that Martial can make a big impact for his side in the new campaign.

'Obviously we want more consistency in his talent,' Mourinho said. 'I think today was positive for him, that's why I left him on for 90 minutes on the pitch', he said on behalf of the friendly match against Real Madrid last month.

'He's a young player, still time to learn, still time to improve, still time to develop, and it's also his personality. I can say that he is training better than before, he's working harder than before, it's a question to bring his talent more in a consistent way', the Portuguese added.
