Fluminense announced through their official channels the return of Marcelo Viera, who returns to the team where he developed as a footballer. The full-back ended his time at Olympiacos and will now try to do his bit for the Brazilian side.

He did not feel very comfortable at the Greek club - he arrived at the beginning of September 2022 - and has barely played ten games, in which he has been able to score three goals. In terms of minutes, a total of 332'.

"The time has come to return," read Fluminense's statement on their account. Minutes before the announcement, Marcelo himself had already let it be known that he was close to signing a contract.
