Is Neymar convinced his future is in Madrid? AFP

After Paris Saint-Germain were schooled by Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League tie, could star forward Neymar be thinking his future is in Spanish captial?

According to Spanish publication 'Marca', PSG's defeat on Wednesday has convinced the Brazil international to return to Spain as a 'blanco', even smiling to reporters when asked about the possible move.

Neymar was reportedly impressed with the good reception he received at the Bernabeu, from club employees and players through to the fans - who did not whistle at him once

He is no longer seen as an enemy who wore the Barcelona shirt and wreaked havoc with this football ability, but rather a successor to Cristiano Ronaldo, who at 33 is starting to enter his twilight years, as the next imperious 'galactico'.

However, the aforementioned source has pointed out that the transfer won't take place until at least 2019 as PSG will not let their record signing go without him rewarding the Ligue 1 side with plenty of silverware first, so Real will have to be patient.

But at the end of the day, it could come down to Neymar and how much he wants to join 'Los Blancos'. Despite many critics, the Brazilian forward would apparently have no problem playing alongside Ronaldo at the forefront of the attack... So who knows? It may happen sooner than we think.
