We take a look ahead to the FA Cup quarter final fixture as Manchester United get set to host Brighton at Old Trafford.

Manchester United:

United showed themselves to be feeble in knockout stages after a cowardly performance against Sevilla in the Champions League. With the Premier League all but signed off to runaway leaders and rivals Manchester City, the FA Cup is Jose Mourinho's only remaining pop at silverware.

Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are unlikely to be back to match fitness to feature. Ander Herrera (hamstring) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (knee) will have to watch this one on their television sets.

Brighton:

The Seagulls have undergone somewhat of a rennaissance in recent weeks, and, prior to their defeat to Everton, were soaring in the Premier League. With relegation appearing to have been averted, Chris Hughton's side can now plug on and try to give their fans the cup run they deserve.

Nimble winger Anthony Knockaert will serve the first game of a three-match ban, whilst Gaetan Bong (knee), Jiri Skalak (ankle) and Dale Stephens (knock) are doubts.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho:

Jose launched a 12-minute long emotional diatribe in a press conference saying: "Now with 55 I am what I am, I did what I did, because of work and because of talent and my mentality."

Brighton boss Chris Hughton:

"You arrive at Old Trafford on Saturday and the only thing on your mind is about trying to get through, of course, to the next round."

Did you know?

In the entire history of their club, Brighton have only ever beaten Manchester United once. Over 35 years ago. They'll be looking to rewrite history on Saturday.

Interestingly the two sides head into this tie with the exact same form record....

Possible line-ups:

United: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Young; Rashford, Matic, Pogba, Martial; Sánchez; Lukaku.

Brighton: Ryan; Schelotto, Dunk, Duffy, Suttner; March, Kayal, Propper, Izquierdo; Gross; Murray.
