Manchester United player Lingard splits with girlfriend
In a now-deleted tweet, Jesse Lingard's ex-girlfriend announced their separation after 15 months of dating.
Manchester United forward Lingard has ended his relationship with long-term girlfriend Jena Frumes. They met in the US and managed to keep their relationship relatively private for several months.
The 25-year-old's side beat rivals Liverpool last weekend, with Linguard himself scoring a vital winner. Shortly afterwards, in a now-deleted tweet, Frumes took to social media to announce the break-up.
She wrote ''At least I can say I tried plus I enjoyed the ride. Wish you the best @JesseLingard''
Over the supposed 15 months that they dated, the model followed Lingard's matches and documented their relationship on social media. The reason for the break-up is not known but there had been speculation that the player had been involved with another woman.
For his part, Lingard's social media account has recently been almost entirely football-related, which will no doubt please manager Jose Mourinho.
