Mourinho is making progress with a deal to sign Ivan Perisic, with Inter finding a replecement for the Croatian in order to smooth his exit.

Jose Mourinhio stated his team's intention to make further signings this summer: 'We don't have our door closed. We are not happy with just Lukaku and Lindelof. We need more', the Portuguese manager said.

'Maybe we don't get two, maybe we got one, but we need one to give us more options and balance. We have players in the squad that cannot play football for the next few months; players like Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young', he added.

As of now, United's top transfer target is Inter's Ivan Perisic, and negotiations for the winger seem to be progressing well for the Red Devils.

The main talking point had been Inter holding out for £48 for the 28-year-old, with United offering £39m. The Italian side also enquired about including Anthony Martial in the deal, but the young Frenchman looks to be staying put.

Inter are now in advanced talks to sign Perisic's replacement Keita Balde, which would ease the Croatian's exit as the Lazio man will not come cheap. Mourinho is one step closer to securing another one of his targets.
