Manchester United aim for European clean sweep
The first leg of the Europa League semi-final will be played at Celta tonight, and Mourinho's men look to achieve something only four elite teams have managed.
Manchester United travel to Spain to face Celta Vigo, and expecting to get a good result in the first leg of the semi-final. The Spaniards have done really well on their way to this late stage of the competition, while winning the Europa League is the main hope for Mourinho's team to make it to the Champions League next season.
United will have to be careful not to take Celta for granted, as former Red Devils striker Terry Gibson warned, 'Celta may take United by surprise though, because they are a decent team. People are expecting a comfortable Manchester United victory which might happen, but I wouldn't go into the game as a United player, fan or manager thinking this is going to be easy'.
The mid-table team have beaten both Real Madrid and Barcelona this season, and if they have made it to this stage it is for a reason. Jose Mourinho will be aware of this as he attempts to fire United into the final.
The Portuguese boss has actually lifted two trophies with United this season, the Community Shield and the EFL Cup, and winning the Europa League would put the cherry on top of a slightly disappointing season.
As well as more silverware for the Red Devils, as well as Champions League qualification, lifting the trophy would be extra special for another reason. Manchester United will look to join an elite band of clubs that have managed to lift the three UEFA major competitions.
