Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes slammed Man Utd after getting knocked out of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid. The former said: "If they sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, they wouldn't win the Premier League."

One of Man Utd's most recent legends is Rio Ferdinand, who is a regular on 'BT Sport' when Man Utd play.

And the Englishman, together with another ex-player in Paul Scholes, slammed Ralf Rangnick's side after they were knocked out by Atletico Madrid.

"If you bring Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland this summer, Man Utd wouldn't win the Premier League. It doesn't matter who you bring, you have to do it from the top downwards," Ferdinand said.

The Red Devils now only have the league to concentrate on as they look to try and get into the top four. They had already been knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cups.

As well as collective performances on the pitch, several names, such as Jadon Sancho, have not been up to standard this term. It is worth adding that players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba could leave Old Trafford in June.
