Man Utd to produce kit to celebrate Chinese New Year
Manchester United build on their established Chinese fanbase as the country celebrates the Lunar New Year by revealing plans for a special kit.
In an attempt to boost their fanbase, Manchester United have announced plans to produce a new kit with their suppler Adidas, in line with Chinese New Year celebrations. Keen fans will have noticed than manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wore the kit in his press conference before United's encounter with Leicester.
However, the efforts to boost numbers don't just stop with kit. The club have announced their plans to open 'club-themed entertainment and experience centres' in China. Manchester United is one of the most popular European sports teams in China, having first visited the country over 45 years ago and returned on tour in 2016.
