According to journalist Jamie Jackson, Manchester United are finding it difficult to sell Harry Maguire in the summer transfer window due to his salary increase after qualifying for the Champions League.

Manchester United want to sell Harry Maguire as he made several blunders last season. The centre-back could leave Old Trafford in the summer after four seasons.

However, it's not going as smoothly as they thought it would. The Red Devils are struggling to sell the English international in the summer transfer window.

According to journalist Jamie Jackson, the 30-year-old's salary increase after qualifying for the Champions League is not making negotiations with clubs interested in his transfer any easier.

"Yet Maguire’s increased pay means he will measure any prospective move against the potential loss of earnings as well as weighing up whether it would be the correct football decision for a centre-back who wishes to remain an automatic choice for England," he told 'The Guardian'.

Erik ten Hag wants to sell the defender as soon as possible in order to be able to sign a new goalkeeper and a world-class striker in the summer. Newcastle were planning a loan deal to sign him but Manchester United are not considering transferring him on loan but will only accept a permanent move.
