Ruben Amorim has been deprived of the services of 11 Man United players as he turns his attention to Saturday's trip to Everton after the painful defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Manchester United sank to 15th in the Premier League after the 1-0 defeat at Spurs and as Ruben Amorim turns his attention towards Saturday's trip to Everton, there is little cause for optimism with the Portuguese counting an absentee list that can make up a full team.

11 players missed out on the visit to the English capital at the weekend, with both long-term and short-term blows plaguing the Red Devils dressing room. Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez's season-ending injuries take them out of Amorim's plans to salvage the current campaign.

But the 40-year-old will be hoping that some of his injury-hit stars will be able to beat the race against time to get back to fitness for what will be Man United's last-ever visit to Everton's Goodison Park.

With five days to go until the fixture, here's how things stand in the medical department at Carrington.

Atlay Bayindir

Injury: Muscle

The hero of the FA Cup win over Arsenal in the third round has sat out Man United's last two outings due to an unspecified concern. Amorim Sunday's defeat against Tottenham, Amorim said: “Altay, I think he has a problem. So, he is not available for the game,” Amorim said before Spurs.

Potential return: Unknown

Toby Collyer

Injury: Muscle

The 21-year-old midfielder was ruled out against Spurs after picking up an injury in training last week. Amorim revealed before kick-off that the United academy graduate “felt something" during the session.

Potential return: Late February

Christian Eriksen

Injury: Illness

The Man United boss revealed on Sunday that the Denmark international was unavailable due to a virus.

Potential return date: Everton (February 22)

Jonny Evans

Injury: Back

The former Leicester City centre-back has been dealing with physical discomfort in his lower back problem. Evans has not featured for the Red Devils since November, with Amorim saying that he is still working to get back to fitness.

Potential return date: Late February

Amad Diallo

Injury: Ankle ligament injury

Asked on Sunday if Diallo would be out for the rest of the season, Amorim said: "I think so. Sometimes things happen and there are seasons that everything happens at the same time. Maybe we'll find new ways to create situations. Maybe we will find good things in this difficult moment."

Potential return: Next season

Kobbie Mainoo

Injury: Calf

The news of the 19-year-old's blow arrived at the same time as Collyer's. Like his English compatriot, Mainoo also missed out on the trip to the English capital because he “felt something" in training. However, recent reports have underlined that the player could be out for 6 weeks for the Red Devils.

Potential return date: Early April

Lisandro Martinez

Injury: Anterior ruciate ligament

The 2020 World Cup winner with Argentina suffered the season-ending blow in the 0-2 home defeat to Palace. Having completed surgery on his knee Martinez shared an update via his social media platforms. "The surgery went perfectly. Now it’s time to give it my all, with heart and soul, in the rehabilitation process."

Potential return date: Next season

Mason Mount

Injury: Hamstring

The former Chelsea gem has been struggling with injuries throughout his time at Old Trafford. He is yet to feature for United in 2025 after sustaining another setback in December. Amorim had at the time predicted that Mount would be out for 'several weeks' as he said: "I don't know the exact date, but it's going to be for long. And that’s it, it's part of football, and you continue.”

Potential return date: Early March

Luke Shaw

Injury: Muscle

Weeks after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for 4 months between pre-season and the start of the 2024/25 campaign, Shaw suffered another setback. On the full-back, who has not featured for the Red Devils in over two months, Amorim recently said: “Luke, just a little bit, one small issue in a different area from the last injury, so we'll try to be careful.”

Potential return date: April

Manuel Ugarte

Injury: Muscle

The Uruguayan made up the trio of midfield players, alongside Collyer and Mainoo, who missed the game against Tottenham after picking up an injury in last week's training. Fortunately for Amorim, the ex-PSG man is not expected to be out long-term.

Potential return date: Everton (February 22)

Leny Yoro

Injury: Illness

Like Eriksen, the summer arrival has also been floored by a virus.

Potential return date: Everton (22 February)
