Man Utd head up competition for Richarlison
Watford's Richarlison only moved to the Premier League last summer from Fluminese but has caught the eye of European elite clubs in his debut season.
Despite having hit a goal drought and not finding the back of the net since November, Jose Mourinho has reportedly seen potential in the young player and is keen to bring him to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are in pole position to sign the Watford forward. A number of European heavyweights have also expressed an interest in signing Richarlison, including Spurs, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG and Juventus.
Should United make an offer on the supposedly £40million-rated player, it seems likely that he would displace Anthony Martial, after the Frenchman reached a contract impasse with United club hierarchy.
Mourinho is reportedly planning to faciliate Martial's departure, and Barcelona have been waiting in the wings with a speculated £60million offer for the 22-year-old.
The United head coach is likely to overhaul the squad and begin a reshape in the summer, in a bid to challenge runaway Premier League winners Manchester City next season.
