Manchester United have not quite been up to scratch recently but we look back at some of the club's best players and question, what has become of them now?

As new faces pass through the ranks at Old Trafford, old ones such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes or Gary Neville are still remembered. They've all remained linked to football, but in different ways.

'AS' reviews the current situation of the Fergie Boys, a group of junior players who made the leap to the first team in 1992 and who wrote a chapter in the history of Manchester United in golden letters.

The most famous is none other than David Beckham. He didn't stay in the club all his career as Giggs and Scholes did, but continues to be a household name across the UK. He is the second athlete, after Michael Jordan, to have earned the most money since retiring. Inter Miami, a new MLS team, is currently in the making.

Ryan Giggs is still more directly involved in football, as he is currently the coach of the national team for which he starred, Wales. For his part, Paul Scholes also tried his luck on the bench, signing for Oldham, but ended up resigning after 31 days ... and did so by sending a message via Whatsapp to the club president.

Other well remembered players are the Neville brothers. Phil serves as England's Women's coach and his brother is a commentator for 'Sky Sports'. The only one who remains linked to United is Nicky Butt, who serves as director of the club's academy, but his position is in jeopardy due to his recent police arrest for a domestic incident.
