As was reported a number of days back, talks between Donyel Malen and Borussia Dortmund are advanced. Since then, Fabrizio Romano reported that the Dutchman, is just a few minor contract details away from signing for the German side until 2026.
Borussia Dortmund stated their interest in Donyel Malen, one of the star players of PSV and the Dutch national team. And the move hasn't turned out too badly for the Germans, as the player has already decided that he wants to play his football in the Bundesliga.
Since the initial rumours, journalist and transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that both the player and club are close to reaching an agreement, which just needs a few loose ends tying up.
The player will sign a five-year deal at Dortmund, keeping him there until 2026, according to Romano. Malen will be an assured signing for the German side, who are in need of bolstering their attacking options following the departure of star man Jadon Sancho.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign with PSV last season. In 45 matches, he scored a staggering 27 goals and provided nine assists. Dortmund will be hoping he can replicate the same kind of form in the Bundesliga next term.
