Crystal Palace have announced the arrival of Malcolm Ebiowei. He will begin his contract with The Eagles on 1st July after transferring from Derby County.

Crystal Palace have completed their first signing of the current transfer window. Malcolm Ebiowei, the 18 year old at Derby County, has avoided playing League One football with them next season.

Despite his young age, the attacker performed to a high level last season which saw him appear on the agendas of various Premier League clubs. In the end, it were The Eagles who managed to get the player to put pen to paper.

He arrives to Crystal Palace at zero cost as he will soon be completing his contract at Derby County. Palace announced that he will officially join them on 1st July: "Crystal Palace have agreed terms with teenager Malcolm Ebiowei, with the 18-year-old winger set to join Patrick Vieira’s squad from 1st July, when his current contract with Derby ends, on a five-year deal.", reads the club's statement.

The footballer, who made his professional debut on 8th February in a match against Hull City, has managed to achieve a dream move to the Premier League. He will now have pressure on his young shoulders to repay Palace's confidence in him.

In the 2021/22 season, Ebiowei appeared in 16 matches, eleven as a starter, scoring one goal and making two assists. The young forward has signed with Crystal Palace until 2027.
