Spain were pushing forward for a breakthrough with patient build-up play. Valencia striker Rodrigo, who was given his first call-up for Spain since October 2014, sealed his return by opening the scoring against Albania.

Rodrigo Moreno could not have had a better comeback. The 26-year-old led the line from the start for Spain and showed his keen eye for goal.

In the 16th minute, following a swift passing move, Isco played a high ball through for the striker to chest the ball down and send a volley past Berisha and high into the net.
