Real Madrid will have to wait until December to sign Gabriel Jesus, as the Palmeiras youngster claims that he will stay at his current club until the end of the season.
The Champions League winners were hoping to seal a deal for the 19-year-old forward before the end of the summer, but Gabriel Jesus has said that he wants to stay with Palmeiras until the end of the Brazilian domestic season, which finishes in December.
"I am staying until the end of the season. After that we will see," he told media on Sunday after Palmeiras' 1-0 victory over Internacional.
The winger, who can also play as a striker, has scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for Palmeiras and is wanted by a number of top European clubs.
Gabriel Jesus has also represented Brazil at U-20 and U-23 level and will play for his country at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio.
