With the likely arrival of Rudiger, with David Alaba, Militao and Nacho in the squad, as well as Lucas Vazquez, Mendy and Carvajal, there is no urgency, at least so far, to bring in new full-backs. But this could change in the run-up to the 2023-24 season.

At that point, the situation of Carvajal and Lucas Vázquez may have changed, although, for example, the return of Alvaro Odriozola, who is on loan at Fiorentina, could mean that a new defender will be fighting for a place in the 23-24. It will all depend on his performance when he returns to Madrid.
