Real Madrid's right winger, Marco Asensio, is considering what he will do in the 2022/23 season. His contract with 'Los Blancos' will expire in June 2023, and the club have already made an offer to him to extend his time at the club. However, the player will only sign the new deal if manager, Carlo Ancelotti, guarantees him a lead role in the team.
Asensio knows full well the interest in him from other clubs around Europe. AC Milan, Juventus, Tottenham, United and Arsenal have all appeared as possible destinations for him should he decide to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid have it figured out. In the case of Asensio failing to agree on his renewal, the player will be sold this summer. 'Sport' reports that Madrid will attempt to earn at least 50 million euros from his sale. The club will not wait until his contract expires and pass up the opportunity of earning some extra cash.
At this moment in time, Asensio remains quiet. The footballer is assessing his options and in the meantime, Real Madrid are awaiting a response from Carlo Ancelotti on whether or not he will count on the player in the upcoming season.
