Erling Haaland is one of Real Madrid's top transfer targets for 2021/22. According to 'AS', Real Madrid are optimistic that they can get their man. They feel that Haaland wants to join the club and that their good relationship with Borussia Dortmund will help they pave the way to complete his signing

Every team in Europe would want Erling Haaland in their team. At the moment only Dortmund have this privilege, however there is the feeling that this will all change this summer. The biggest clubs around the world will battle to sign the Norwegian.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are looking the most likely destinations for Haaland. Real believe they can match up with Barca to sign Europe's hottest new talent.

'AS' have explained that there are reasons for Madrid to be optimistic. The most important of which: they are convinced that Haaland wants to be a part of 'Los Blancos'. The player would love to join Real, as has been reported by his agent Mino Raiola. This would be yet another advantage to Madrid in the fight to sign the Norwegian.

The newspaper also added that Mino Raiola himself will play his part in ensuring Haaland will join RM. The agent would love nothing more than for one of the football players that he represents to join 'Los Blancos' - and who bettter than the Norwegian to maintain his fruitful relationship with Real.

Last but not least, Madrid trust that their relationship with Borussia Dortmund will mean an agreement is reached fairly easily. According to 'AS', Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joaquim Watzke is a close friend of Florentina Perez, the Madrid president. He greatly values the work of Perez, something which could be vital in the signing of Haaland.

This last problem seems the most complicated. Borussia insist that Haaland is not for sale and that the striker will not be leaving this summer.

In any case, Haaland will not come cheap. The signing will cost around 150 euros plus signing on fees, which could amount to a total of 270 euros including salary.
