Darwin Machis equalised for Granada against Barcelona in an counter-attack that wasn't only celebrated in the Andalusian city. Atletico, Madrid and Sevilla all joined in to cheer the goal.
Just past the hour in the match between Granada and Barcelona, Darwin Machis blew La Liga wide open. The league title now appears up for grabs for the four that chase it.
Messi had put Barca in front on 23 minutes. With the 1-0 advantage, the Catalan side seemed to lower the tempo in the second half, until Granada eventually drew level.
In the 63rd minute, Luis Suarez played a through ball for Machis to chase. Mingueza got a touch on the ball which seemed to devert it into the path of the Granada player, who finished past the onrushing Ter Stegen.
The German keeper is an expert in one-on-one situations, but he could do nothing to stop Machis on this occasion. Granada's number 11 slotted underneath the keeper to make it 1-1 on the scoresheet, a goal that will also be celebrated in Madrid and Sevilla.
